Cockburn's History and Tradition

Cockburn's has a long tradition in Port wine production, marked by innovation and respect for quality. Since 1815, we have defied industry norms, buying directly from winegrowers and betting on Touriga Nacional when many had abandoned it. This approach has led us to create iconic labels such as Special Reserve, which revolutionised the Ruby Port category.

In our cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, we age the wines in oak vats, maintained by one of the last teams of in-house coopers. This commitment to tradition and quality has made us a benchmark in the world of Port wine.

From 1st April to 31st October:

- Visits: 10am to 5.30pm (by reservation)
- Tastings: 10am to 7pm
- Shop: 9.30am to 7.30pm

From 1st November to 31st March:

- Visits: 10am to 5pm (by reservation)
- Tastings: 10am to 6pm
- Shop: 9.30am to 6.30pm

Closed on 25 December and 1 January.
Note: Closed on 4 July for team training.
On 24 June, opening will be at 13:00.
